On February 6, a very extraordinary and a unique event is to unfold on stage in our beloved Toronto whose goal is to better familiarize the community with Bakhtiari music and dance. Named B. B. Baff, the event has been organized by the support of the University of Rochester who also hosted a seminar on Bakhtiari Rugs about two years ago.
The show in Toronto is to be performed by Khorshid Khanoom Dance Group with Aram Bayat as the director. Khorshid Khanoom was established in Montreal in 1988 to teach traditional dancing to children and youth.
Let’s also not forget about Masters of Persian Music on February 5 in Roy Thomson Hall. Masters like Hossein Alizadeh, Keyhan Kalhor and Hamidreza Nourbakhsh will be performing in this concert.
Salam Toronto is among the sponsors of B. B. Baff and Masters of Persian Music and we hope to see all you art lovers out there this weekend.
