The Town of Richmond Hill’s Parks, Recreation & Culture Department is responsible for the development of parks, recreation and leisure time facilities, programs and services. They maintain all the different parks, community centers, pools and other recreational facilities in the town. Each season, this department prepares and publishes the Leisure Guide, a guide book of all leisure programs and services offered by the Town for residents. The most recent one is the spring 2010 issue which is printed and distributed through The Liberal newspaper to your home and is also published online on the Town’s website. It can also be picked up at all Town facilities. In the Leisure Guide you will find different information about programs and also instructions for how to register. Some programs are very popular, so much so that on the first date of registration some may already be sold out. So, if you would like to register for a program, you should act as soon as possible when registration begins. If you have already registered for a program in a previous session, then you are familiar with the process. But for the new residents, we will review some points about them in Farsi language. For more information, please visit www.richmondhill.ca/leisureguide.

But be sure to check that the ice is safe. Signage is posted at both locations. If the signage says Green or Yellow, it means that ice is safe for skating. There is free parking close to both locations.
